About the Language department
The Language Department develops students’ communication, literacy, and critical thinking skills through the study of language and literature. Students are empowered to express themselves confidently, think creatively, and communicate effectively in both academic and real-world settings.
Core Language from 1st form to 6th form CAPE level. Strong CSEC outcomes and a dedicated maths support programme for students who need it.

Debating Team
The Debating Society at Clan Carthy High School develops students’ public speaking, critical thinking, research, and persuasive communication skills. Through structured debates and intellectual discussions, students build confidence while potentially representing the school in debating competitions and public speaking events.
